Project Summary

Schindler Projects played a pivotal role in the W203 Project, an initiative aimed at transforming the Mercedes-Benz East London operation into a world-class vehicle assembly facility. This project was particularly significant as the plant was designated as the global production hub for all right-hand drive (RHD) C-Class vehicles.

Initially appointed in June 1998 to provide project management services for the Paint Shop, our scope was expanded in December 1998 to oversee all remaining subprojects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

The W203 Project impacted the entire East London manufacturing plant and included:
