Stellantis SA Project
Schindler Projects is managing the design, construction, and commissioning of Stellantis’ new South African plant for the Peugeot Landtrek, overseeing project planning, cost control, and coordination between Stellantis, Coega Development Corporation, and BVi.

Piet Retief MDF Plant – Phase 3
Schindler Projects managed the design, construction, and commissioning of PG Bison’s 780m³/day MDF plant expansion in Piet Retief, overseeing equipment procurement, installation, and infrastructure development to enhance manufacturing capacity and efficiency.

W206 Project
Schindler Projects managed the complete restructuring of the Mercedes-Benz plant for the W206 C-Class, overseeing new warehouses, a state-of-the-art Bodyshop, major infrastructure upgrades, and planned shutdowns – ensuring on-time, under-budget delivery.

New VW Polo EV Assembly Hall
Schindler Projects supported AE Industries in the final stages of equipment installation at the VW EV Assembly Hall in Emden, Germany, developing and managing an integrated installation program to coordinate subcontractors, procurement, and daily progress tracking.

New BMW X3 Project
Schindler Projects was appointed by BMW to assess the South African construction industry’s readiness for lean construction, evaluate contractors, and recommend the best fit for delivering the Rosslyn Bodyshop on time and to the highest standards.

W204 Project
Schindler Projects provided comprehensive project management for the construction of a state-of-the-art 23,000m² bodyshop and the expansion and enhancement of the assembly line, doubling capacity to produce 230 C-Class units per day, overseeing all key work packages, including Bodyshop, Assembly, Paintshop, Logistics, QA, and Production/Process.

New Board Factory – Ugie
The Particle Board Factory in Ugie, featuring a state-of-the-art conti-roll press, required extensive project management and coordination to overcome delays and ensure timely completion, ultimately reaching full capacity ahead of schedule and opening in April 2008.

Innovation Hub
Schindler Projects served as the Programme and Development Manager for The Innovation Hub, South Africa’s first science and technology park, fostering collaboration across high-tech industries through cutting-edge infrastructure, world-class facilities, and a dynamic innovation ecosystem.

MTN Campus – Phase 1
Schindler Projects successfully managed the phased development of the MTN Campus in Fairlands, overseeing project timelines, design coordination, communication, and contract administration to deliver the high-profile development in alignment with stakeholder expectations.

W203 Project
The W203 Project aimed to transform the East London plant into a world-class vehicle assembly facility for producing all right-hand drive C-Class Mercedes, with Schindler Projects managing the on-time, on-budget completion of various subprojects, including extensive modifications and new constructions across the plant.
